With the dominant win versus David Haye, Wladimir Klitsckho has now solidified himself as an all time great heavyweight.  I know you don't like it, but it is the truth.

Think about this: only Wlad, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis had 10 or more title defenses as heavyweight champion.  That's pretty outstanding company.

It had the makings of a good fight.  The first round started with both fighters cautious.  Mosley edged out the round with a stiff jab and landing the only real meaningful shots.  Then it all came unglued for the 39 year old.

I still maintain the damage was caused by the punch.  Heck, Jack Dempsey once did a similar thing to someone he fought when he hit Bill Brennan so hard he broke the challengers ankle.

My wife and I just watched Vitali Klitschko knock out Odlanier Solis with a piercing shot to the temple as Solis rushed in.  He followed up with another shot after he saw the challenger wobble.  Solis brought his hands up to protect himself and began backpedaling before his knees went wobbly and he fell to the canvas.

So word on the street is that Manny Pacquiao is set to face Antonio Margarito if Floyd Mayweather balks at the terms of the proposed mega-fight.   First things first, of course, Margarito will need to be licensed to fight somewhere.  As far as I know right now, Margs is not allowed to fight in the US yet due to his cheating past.

Juan Manuel Lopez continued his undefeated run with a 2nd round knockout over Bernabe Concepcion Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Lopez is now 29-0 though he did have to get off the floor in round 1 to win the fight.
